Loveland Ski Area in Colorado up I70 near the Eisenhower Tunnel is one of the first Ski Areas to Open in Colorado. Loveland is only 53 miles west of Denver (just before the Eisenhower tunnel) and 12 miles east of Summit County on I-70, at Exit 216.
Loveland Ski Area is made up of two separate base areas: Loveland Basin and Loveland Valley. Loveland Basin is the main area where you will find most of the terrain. Loveland Valley is a separate area with gentle slopes perfect for beginners.
All uphill access at Loveland Basin requires users to have a current Uphill Access Card available at no charge at the ski patrol headquarters during normal business hours. Please read the uphill access policy below and pick up your Uphill Access Card at the ski patrol headquarters before accessing the mountain.
